Today we received the message in Google Webmaster tool . It indicated that the site violates Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.

The effect is that the website is no longer indexed in the Google search engine. It can be checked using site:http://diggsamachar.com in google.

What Now ?

As suggested in the Google’s message – please see our Webmaster Help Forum for support, a thread was started about this issue in the forum

It is possible that the website may take a whole lot of time for it to come out of deindexing, since google is possibly overwhelmed by excessive reconsideration requests.

In the meantime we are taking a lot of steps to improve quality, remove external links, remove junk and spammy contents and make a case for getting it reindexed in google. So here are the important steps taken.

- The adrforum which existed earlier at http://diggsamachar.com/adrforum has been completely removed. It was first started as a forum to discuss the ADRs or American Depository Receipts. To increase the sign up rated backlink signatures were provided on the model of forums.digitalpoint.com. Unfortunately, it led to a lot of low quality pages. The signature was later on disabled. But thin and spammy contents stayed even after removing many of them. Today the forum is gone. If it comes back, it will be a new forum with no posts.

- Thin contents in the main diggsamachar blog has been cleaned up. There were a lot of thin contents and these have been removed. There will be more clean up in future.

- Another blog posts at http://diggsamachar.com/blog has also been cleaned up.
- There were few posts that had outgoing links. All of these have been removed.

To ignore India, with the largest population of English Speaking and reading mass, is an unwise move from Apple. Samsung’s S Pen is a smart move. It can used by anyone and language barriers does not make a difference. If you count the customers in India and China, the sales in these two countries will outstrip the Apple iPhone sales by many times.

The biggest advantage of the Galaxy Notes is the fact that you can take advantage of many features and applications that are made for the notes. The phone will give better browsing experience with its large screen.

On the downside holding a device that extends beyond the reach of your palm will sure be awkward in looks. If that is the case, you may like to take a look at several other Samsung Phones that come in smaller size and possibly lower in price. Apple’s iPhone 4S is probably not the one for you if you are living in India. It will not understand your English. And this is not your fault – it can even not understand the English that Australian speak.

If you are a webmaster and your site is hurt by Google Panda, you probably have visited the Crawling, Indexing and Ranking section of the Google Webmaster Forum.

There has been an spurt of activity on this forum as a large number of webmasters who are hit by google Panda post their plight for a possible remedy. A special post has been created to report that sites that have been hit by google panda.

The forum was supposed to help the webmasters in figuring out what is wrong with their websites, so that they could attempt to make changes. A quick look at the websites posted suggests that the websites deserved the drop in the ranking that is being seen. And when the Top Contributors ( TCs, as is more popularly known) point this to the webmasters, it only adds to the anger of the webmasters who are willing to do anything to get out of the clutches of google panda.

The recovery from the google panda is a rare phenomenon. As one of the posters on the forums asks

“After doling out advices to tens of thousands of websites, show me a list of 10 websites that have recovered from Google Panda.”

Recovery from Google Panda seems to be non existence. Cult of MAC was supposed to be one of the first websites that recovered from google Panda, but, when, suspicion was pointed out, Matt Cutts clarified that the site was not hit by Panda on first place.

Labnol.org is one of the earliest websites that recovered from Panda. However, its recovery is being seen with suspicion, as, its recovery did not align with the dates of the Panda releases.

The biggest concern that webmasters have at the forum is that, the content copied from their websites are being outranked. If a website writes an original content and its content is copied to a high authority website, its content is easily outranked. The top contributors at the forum maintain that, the contents are not original on its first place, as these too are copied from some places. This has let to bitter altercation between the top contributors and the forum posters.

It is a great notebook from Samsung and it has a decent Intel Core i3-370M processor. If you see this notebook you are definitely going to fall in love for it.

Samsung NP-R540-JA09US puts Apple MACs to shame with the quality of the built and the stability. Apple is basically charging double of what Samsung charges when when Samsung has better quality.

Replacing a brake pad can be expensive, especially if it also erodes the rotors. It therefore makes sense to change your driving habits so that it will increase the life of the brake pads. Here are few things you can do for this.

Amitbhawani announced that the move as the re branding of the personal to a more professional name. In the announcement it writes – “Along with the above plans we are also going to from now on regularly review startup’s which seem to have a great future and scope giving them a huge traffic boost and also create awareness for them on the web”.

A move to create another techcrunch ?

You may like to investigate further behind the motives. Amitbhawani was getting a lot of traffic and it used SEO which included some of the grey hat tricks, including link building of its individual posts. Amit also offered “link building package”, a technique he also used in the posts of amitbhawani.com

When google Pana hit amitbhawani.com – he posted his fate at google webmaster forum. The replies was not sweet. The traffic at amitbhawani.com continued to plummet. It may be worthwhile to take a look at the Alexa traffic of the amitbhawani.com

Was the move to new domain name a workaround to avoid Panda ? Will the 301 redirection work. Will it gain the traffic it had prior to the google Panda ? Or will it stay same ? Or will it go down further as the 301 redirection takes time. It will be interesting to monitor these facts in the coming future. Something Amit himself will be more curious to know.

At the time of writing site:techadvices.com gives 4250 results. Interestingly site:amitbhawani.com still gives 8890 results indicating that the 301 redirection is not complete. It will be interesting to see how this composition changes in future. It is an interesting movement that will be of interest to SEO community in general and amitbhawani.com fans in particular.

Many of the Microworkers woke up to learn that they have stopped paying by paypal. They are now offering only Moneybookers and alertpay as the only mode of payments.
