This "z.Hd." means "zu Händen" (= "for the attention of")... you remember.. that's what the person above has answered... but you can't use "z.Hd." instead of "c/o" ... "z.Hd." is always the indirect recipient! that means.. the person who is not the owner of the mailbox!

A bit more up to date is to use "z.H." instead of "z.Hd." ... but that's just a bit more modern ...in fact there's no difference.

But.... actually you don't use "z.Hd." or "z.H." anymore. For example when you want to send a letter to someone at his workplace (company name: "Geisenhauer GmbH") you wouldnt use "z.Hd." any longer... then it's just
