Contrary to what you may have believed, the personal brand name change was not the reason behind the change. It looks like the change was done as amitbhawani was struck with google panda. Amit then used to circumvent the google panda by 301 redirecting to the techadvices.com. However, this did not work. And he reverted back to amitbhawani.com.
