Point of Interest for Garmin - Indian Grocery and Indian Restaurant

Here are the Steps required to integrate Indian Grocery and Indian Restaurant Point of Interest in your Garmin GPS.

1. Download the Diggsamachar zipped POI file for Indian Grocery and Indian Restaurant Locator - Download Indian POI .

2. Unzip the Indian_POI.zip file. There will be 4 files in a folder.

3. Download and install Point of Interest for Windows .

5. Connect your Garmin Unit to Computer using USB Cable. Run the POI loader. Follow the instructions. Point to the folder containing the files you downloaded and unzipped. The Point of interest files will be downloaded to your Garmin GPS. Remove the USB Cable.

The only thing you need to be note is that - you should select the manual mode as shown.

It will then prompt for two files one for grocery and another for restaurant in successive screens.

6. For immediate test, take the GPS unit out of window. Click on My locations -> Custom PIOs. This will give you two options - Indian Grocery and Indian Restaurant. Select the appropriate one. You should find some nearest Indian Grocery Store or the nearest Indian restaurants.
